US actions to define additional customs duties do not testify to Washington's readiness for dialogue. The statement came from Chinese Foreign Ministry Representative Lin Zzyan at a briefing.
"The actions of the American side do not express their readiness for a serious dialogue, if the United States was really ready for discussions, it would mean a policy of equality and mutual respect.
If Washington decides to ignore the interests of the two countries and the international community and continues customs duties and trade wars, China will continue to respond to the end, "said the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman.
On April 2, US President Donald Trump announced the setting customs duties for 185 countries and territories. The total tariffs of 10% came into force on April 5, individuals from April 9.
