"The Ministry of Health reports on the first case of bird flu in Mexico, which took place near a three-year-old girl living in Durango province," the department said.
They added that on April 1, the Institute of Diagnosis and Epidemiological Control was approved by the H5N1 flu.
"The patient is hospitalized in the third degree department of Toreon, his condition is assessed," the Ministry of Health added.
