Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory message to President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the occasion of the Day of Unity Day. The message stressed that countries will continue to develop mutually beneficial allied ties for the benefit of security and stability. The message was published on the Kremlin website.
"Dear Alexander Grigori, accept my warm congratulations on the Day of the Union of Peoples of Russia and Belarus. I am sure that we will continue to strengthen mutually beneficial allied ties for the benefit of our brotherly peoples for the benefit of Eurasian security and stability, "the message reads.
Putin stressed that the centuries-old relations based on fraternal friendship, spiritual and cultural intimacy between the two countries are developing dynamically in all spheres, and the institutions and mechanisms of the Union state are systematically improved.
