The masters of repair and maintenance of Makhachkala's Gazprom gas district have been taken to pre-trial detention in the multi-apartment building. The joint press service of the Court of General Jurisdiction of the Republic of Dagestan has announced this on Telegram.
The statement said that the relevant decision was made by the Leninian Court of Makhachkala.
"The Court has decided to make a precautionary measure for a two-month period, ie May 25, 2010," the text said.
The press service reported that a criminal case was filed against the detainee in the Article 238, Part 2 of the Criminal Code. It is about the performance of consumer life and health safety requirements.
A gas explosion took place in a residential building on Makhachkala's Gaptsakskaya Street on the morning of March 25. The Ministry of Health of Dagestan said that four people were injured, one man and three women. The condition of one of the victims, the owner of the apartment, where the explosion took place, is assessed as severe.
Against this background, the regional prosecutor's office has organized an investigation. Investigators, in turn, have initiated a criminal case.
As it became known, the building was not commissioned. Despite this, people lived there, and the apartments were sold.
