The opposition has organized a massive demonstration in support of Istanbul's arrested mayor of Musmoglu. It takes place in the Maltip district of the Asian part of the city.
The demonstration was organized by the Chief People's Republican People's Republican Party (CHP) to support Imamoglu as a candidate for opposition presidential candidate.
Representatives of five political parties also take part in it. Earlier, the organizers of the rally announced that they expect about one million people to take part in it. The gathered, many, Turkish flags chanted their hands, slogans in defense of Imamoglu, demanding that the resignation of the government and hold snap elections.
The primary primary by the Chp took place on March 23 to determine the candidate of the opposition presidential candidate. More than 14.8 million people supported Imamoglu's candidacy, earlier the leader of the opposition party's leader Ozel.
In connection with the rally, intensified security measures were taken in Maltip and surrounding areas.
