All Gagauzia authorities continue their normal work after the arrest of the District Chief Evgenia Gutsuli, the first deputy of the author of the autonomy Ilya Uzoun stated.
The Chisinau District Court has partially upheld the demand of the prosecutors on Friday and made a decision to detain Gutul for 20 days. The defense intends to appeal this decision.
"We clearly declare. Gagauzia is not handed over. The Executive Committee, the People's Assembly of Gagauzia and all the authorities of autonomy continue to work in the usual mode. External control over our land will not be appointed people in Chisinau. We, the patriots in Gagauzia, will not allow our autonomy and our rights, "Uzuni said in a video message published on his Facebook page.
He noted that the Executive Committee will announce further steps in the near future. Gutul was arrested on March 25 at Chisinau Airport and was taken to the National Anti-Corruption Center.
