The Executive Vice President of the EC got acquainted with the Armenian language manuscripts in Matenadaran

Valdis Dombrovskis, the Executive Vice President of the European Commission and the EU Commissioner for Trade, who is on an official visit to Armenia, accompanied by Vasilis Maragos, Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, visited Mashtotsyan Matenadaran. Accompanied by Director Ara Khzmalyan, the guests toured the halls of the Matenadaran Museum, got acquainted with the new exhibitions, samples of Armenian and other language manuscripts, and also visited the archives and the Restoration Department.

During the visit, the director pointed out the potential of Matenadaran to become an international center in the field of restoration of written heritage. He emphasized the role of the international seminar "Figures of Memory" to be held in the fall in the implementation of this goal.
