Presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko had a recent telephone conversation, during which the Belarusian leader's visit to the Russian Federation was discussed. The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov stated this at a briefing.
"The Presidents of Belarus are preparing for the visit of the President of Russia to recently spoke on the phone, in particular, they agreed that such a visit will take place in the near future," said the Kremlin representative.
"We will clearly tell you about when we will do it with our Belarusian counterparts," he added.
The last conversation between Putin and Lukashenko, which Kremlin reported, took place in late January. Afterwards, the Russian President congratulated the Belarusian counterpart on the occasion of a convincing victory in the elections.
Earlier, Peskov said that the Kremlin did not report any conversation between the leaders of the two countries, as they are in constant contact, pursuing a rich and dense dialogue.
