The EU offers a free trade agreement to India

European Commission Head Ursula von Der Lajen, who is on a visit to India, offered to sign free trade agreements and strategic partnerships in the field of security and defense.

The European Commission, led by Von der Lairs, is currently on a visit to India to strengthen bilateral contacts.

"The Free Trade Agreement between the EU and India can be the largest deal in the world. I fully understand that it will not be easy. But I also know that this partnership comes to us at the right time.

That's why we have agreed to work with Prime Minister Modi this year. And you can count on my complete commitment to this work, "said the head of the European Commission.

He also added that Brussels wants to enter a strategic partnership with India in the field of security and defense.
