The Luys Foundation analyzed the socio-economic developments of the Armenian economy in January 2025.
Thus, the positive effects of artful factors caused by the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict on the Armenian economy in 2022. Then they gradually weakened, as a result of which the pace of economic growth gradually slowed down.

Large negative indicators on industry and foreign trade have been registered. The volumes of both exports and industry have significantly decreased, which is mainly due to a significant decrease in jewelry (gold re-export).
In fact, the decrease in exports, as well as industry, began in the middle of the previous year. However, large negative indicators begin to be recorded when the indicators are compared to the high indicators recorded in these periods last year.
As a result, in the first months of this year, both industry and export and import growth will be negative.
The growth of state budget revenues in January 2025 was quite high, making 29.4%, while the index of the same month of 2024 was only 0.8%.
High growth is mainly due to the effect of the base, as the growth rate of budget revenues slowed down in January last year.
Therefore, the high rate of income will not be maintained in the coming months, as the existence of a low database was specially specially at the beginning of the previous year.
