Sargis Khandanyan, on behalf of the RA National Assembly, expressed support for his Ukrainian colleagues in Kiev for their "courageous activities."


The Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Sargis Khandanyan met with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk in Kiev. The RA NA reports this. During the meeting, Ruslan Stefanchuk, welcoming Sargis Khandanyan’s visit to Ukraine, highlighted the development of inter-parliamentary ties between the two countries, in particular, the importance of mutual visits of friendship groups operating in the two parliaments.

On behalf of the RA National Assembly, Sargis Khandanyan expressed his support for the colleagues of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for their courageous activities in difficult conditions for the country and stressed the importance of joint work on inter-parliamentary platforms.

He presented the head of the Ukrainian Parliament with the security challenges created around Armenia, the RA foreign policy priorities, and the details of the Armenia-Azerbaijan and Armenia-Turkey negotiation processes.

The “Crossroads of Peace” project presented by the Armenian government was also touched upon.

Ruslan Stefanchuk, highlighting the strengthening of regional peace and stability, expressed his unconditional expressed support for the preservation of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia and the path of democratic development. Sargis Khandanyan left for Ukraine to participate in the work of the Bureau of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
