The State Revenue Committee has received the European Union expert mission in Armenia for the purpose of developing a Visa Liberalization Action Plan (VLAP).
The mission aims to assess the overall state of Armenia’s preparedness in the areas of document protection, border management and migration, as well as to contribute to the preparation of a Visa Liberalization Action Plan.
The EU partners were presented with the main strategic directions of the SRC in the field of customs administration, the reforms implemented in recent years, the challenges and development prospects.
A number of issues related to the organization of border procedures were also discussed during the meeting.
Within the framework of the mission, the EU delegation visited the Bagratashen and Ayrum border checkpoints to get acquainted with the activities of the customs authorities on site. A visit to Zvartnots Airport is also planned.
