Yerevan Municipality has presented an investment program of 74 billion drams for the purchase of new metro cars, which will enable people to use innovative, comfortable and high-quality services. Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced this on his Facebook page.
According to him, over the past two years, 6.3 billion drams have been invested in the Yerevan Metro to modernize infrastructure and increase passenger comfort.
“Modern escalators have been installed, previously unused cars have been repaired and put on the road, increasing the metro’s capacity, the ventilation system has been updated, and a number of other improvements have been made that ensure a safer and more comfortable operation of the metro,” Avinyan wrote.
