Putin invited Trump to Moscow: Peskov

US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin had a long telephone conversation. The American leader reported this on his Truth Social social network.

The American president described the conversation as “long and very productive”.

According to him, both leaders agreed on the need to stop the deaths in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. “We also agreed that our respective teams will immediately begin negotiations,” Trump said. The American president added that we “will begin by calling Ukrainian President Zelensky to inform him of the conversation that took place, which I will do right now”.

The fact of the negotiations was also confirmed by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov: “The Russian President invited the US President to visit Moscow and expressed his readiness to receive American officials in Russia in areas of mutual interest, including, of course, the topic of the Ukrainian settlement.”
