Today, February 12, an emergency occurred in Shirak region. At around 17:00, the 9-11 Crisis Management Center of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received an alarm that a car was on fire on the highway leading from Gyumri to the village of Hovit.
As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, 1 combat crew from the Gyumri Fire and Rescue Squad of the Rescue Service of the Republic of Armenia Ministry of Internal Affairs promptly arrived at the scene.
It was found out on the spot that the fire broke out in a “GAZelle” car serving the Gyumri-Hovit route.
Firefighters extinguished the fire and took charge of the scene.
Patrolmen from the same company, Misha Avagyan and Andranik Galstyan, demarcated the area and performed their duty.
According to preliminary information, fortunately, there were no injuries as a result of the fire.
The duty group of the Akhuryan Police Department of the Main Department of the Community Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs Police, headed by the officer in charge of the day, also arrived at the scene.
Documents are being drawn up at the Akhuryan Police Department regarding the incident, where the identity of the driver of the "GAZelle" is being established.
