Tatra, Matra, and Fatra are the names of three Carpathian mountains, which are simultaneously an integral part of the national symbols of both Hungary and Slovakia, in particular, the coat of arms. Moreover, Slovakia also uses the symbol of these mountains on its national flag.
From the point of view of state symbols, the situation is even more complicated, since two of the three peaks, Tatra and Fatra, are located in Slovakia, and Matra is in Hungary.--00—SP
You understood correctly, I want to show with another example the entire misery of the "reflection" of Pashinyan, who suffers from racism and has drawn the Turkish yatagan on national identity with extreme stupidity.
The simultaneous use of the mountains I have pointed out by the two European Union member states was not and is not seen as a territorial claim against each other, nor as revanchism, nor as an obstacle to regional cooperation or conflict-free neighborhood.
Slovakia has been under Hungarian rule for centuries, the borders in that area have often changed, there are many other mountains in Slovakia, but no one opposes the native peak, which is now on Hungarian territory, but has become part of national symbolism.
In both states, at the official level, no one opposes the “real” Hungary or the “real” Slovakia to the “historical”.
There are many such examples of official heraldry in Europe. The same Spanish state coat of arms contains the Pillars of Hercules, one of which symbolizes Gibraltar, which is under the rule of Great Britain, and this did not prevent both countries from being members of the EU for 34 years at the same time and continuing to be members of NATO to this day.
Even more confusing is the use of the tribal emblem symbolizing the former Silesia in European coats of arms. Most of Silesia is now in Poland, but the black eagle on a golden background symbolizing it is a component of the state coats of arms of the Czech Republic and Liechtenstein, but is absent from the symbols of Poland.
Even “liberal” Europe does not deny its history to the extent that Pashinyan does. Before giving a damn about joining the EU, it would not hurt to study a little European civilization in all its manifestations.
