The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has stated that the West Bank and the Gaza Strip are not subject to sale, bargaining or exchange, the Palestinian WAFA news agency reported.
The ministry added that “any such idea aims to prolong the conflict” and “keep Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in power in Israel at the expense of the Palestinian people and their suffering.”
In its statement, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry called on the international community to “confront this racist colonial policy and not be satisfied with statements of rejection and warning, and to work towards activating the UN Security Council so that it can fulfill its responsibilities in implementing UN resolutions on the Palestinian issue and maintaining international peace and security.”
In the statement, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry noted that “the Israeli government and Prime Minister Netanyahu are trying to cover up the crimes of genocide, displacement and annexation they have committed against the Palestinian people,” adding that the Israeli government has adopted the idea of displacement and seeks to implement it by force of occupation, ignoring the security and stability of countries in the region and the world.
