The Turkish authorities increase the cost of the transition of ships with bosday and desiciency strait on July 1 to $ 5.83, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure stated.
The transit fee remained unchanged for almost 40 years, until 2022, since then, it has increased annually, in 2024, the transit fee increased by almost 15% to $ 5.08 per franc. The money is calculated on the basis of a gold franc in 1936, which regulates the navigation in the territory of the Strait.
According to Minister Abdullkadir Uraloglu, compared to 2022, the transit of non-expulsion of Turkish ports has increased more than sevenfold.
He noted that most of the received payments are spent on Turkish stray, the world's most common security, the expansion of the traffic monitoring system and the modernization of infrastructure.
