The head of the Food Safety Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Danielyan, was in Vayots Dzor province with a very busy agenda. visits to a livestock farm, slaughterhouse, cheese factory, as well as meetings with the governor, administrative heads of the region, businessmen and villagers. During the meetings with businessmen, farmers and heads of administrative districts, the main issue of concern to the latter was the inaccessibility of slaughterhouses and the spread of animal diseases.
According to them, there are no accessible slaughterhouses in the region, and animals brought to the pastures of Vayots Dzor from different places and purchased from these regions without inspection spread diseases, in particular, brucellosis, infecting the animals of the region. The head of the inspection body introduced those present to the government decision, according to which the list of settlements in the republic where it is possible to build slaughterhouses has been established.
The administrative heads of the region present at the meeting assured that they are ready to provide comprehensive support to each initiator in this matter.

During the meeting with Vayots Dzor Governor Kolya Mikayelyan, the issues of supervision over the food chain organizations of the region, support for the construction of slaughterhouses, and the introduction of effective mechanisms to combat the spread of animal diseases were discussed.
The head of the State Animal Health Inspection visited a livestock farm in the village of Vernashen and a milk processing plant in the settlement of Yelpin.
During a spontaneous meeting with villagers in Yelpin, the leadership of the Inspection Body also presented all possible solutions for organizing slaughterhouse slaughter without problems.
