Residents of the “Haghtanak” district of Malatia-Sebastia have been waiting for decades for a solution to the issue of their land ownership rights.
The Yerevan Municipality has moved the process to a practical stage, and since 2022, 96 decisions have already been made based on land ownership acts, writes Yerevan Mayor’s Spokesperson Hayk Kostanyan. “Today, residents of the district blocked the road, voicing their concerns.
The Yerevan Mayor met with residents back in January to discuss the issue, and last week they were received by First Deputy Mayor Armen Pambukhchyan, who will also receive them again this Wednesday.
The city authorities are ready to continue working within their powers to find the best possible solution to the issue.”
