Ambassador Grigor Hakobyan met with the head of the Chief of General Staff of the Islamic Republic of Iran, with a Brigadier General Mohammad Ahadi.
Issues related to the bilateral multilateral agendents of the Islamic Republic of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as regional developments were discussed during the meeting.
Brigadi General Mohammad Ahadi congratulated Grigor Hakobyan on his appointment as ambassador and stressed that the development of relations with Armenia is of particular importance for the policy of deepening relations with its neighbors.
A high-ranking Iranian military official reaffirmed the clear and unchanging position on Tehran on the territorial integrity of Armenia.
Ambassador Hakobyan presented the efforts of the Armenian government to regional peace and stability, and noted that the closest relations with Iran and friendly Iran occupy a special place in that context.
