The RA Human Rights Defender made a statement on his Facebook page, where he urges me to observe the rules of parliamentary ethics and refrain from criticizing the HRD, threatening with articles of the criminal code.
Mrs. Manasyan was upset by my publication about the shameful situation in terms of the protection of human rights in the RA penal institutions, and that the steps taken by the relevant bodies, as well as the HRD, are not enough to correct the situation. It is unclear which article of the Code of Civil Procedure is violated here.
This is just a shame, nothing more than an attempt to silence me. It is a unique case in the history of RA when the Human Rights Defender issues a threat to a member of the National Assembly for highly worrying issues.
And does the current HRD of RA remember about ethics when?

Where is the HRD, outraged by criticism, when they illegally detain oppositionists, minors, Artsakh residents, and utter hate speech against them?
Where are the latter's clear assessments and actions when applied to protesters by the police?

In all such cases, either opposition MPs or lawyers react quickly. Do you see why we never notice the Human Rights Defender who carefully reads my publications next to us?
I should also mention that when the cars of the supporters of the Holy Struggle were illegally in the penalty areas for months, we did not hear any response from the Human Rights Office.
As for the problems of the people kept in RA penitentiary institutions, I myself regularly visit those places, and I document that all the problems that I have presented in my posts have not been solved for months.
Only in the last 4 weeks, 4 cases of death were recorded in penitentiary institutions. 2 as a result of suicide, 1 as a result of a hunger strike.
I reiterate my claim that these issues are first of all within the scope of HRD activities.
I call on Mrs. Manasyan to leave the role of a prosecutor and instead of making threats, she should perform her duties with the same diligence. Otherwise, the unprecedentedly low trust and rating towards RA HRD does not bring honor to anyone.
