On April 22, an event dedicated to the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held at the city's Faro Palace on the initiative of the city authorities of Marseille, which was attended by the mayor of Marseille Benoît Payan, RA Consul General Ara Mkrtchyan, representatives of the city and regional structures of Marseille, and a number of associations of the Armenian community in France. At the end of the event, as a sign of respect of the people of Marseilles to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide, the building of the Faro Palace was lit up with the Armenian tricolor, then the national anthems of Armenia and France were played.
