After learning about what the Pashinyan-Aliev-Erdogan triad had agreed upon and what would happen to Artsakh, he left his post a week before the disaster and left.
Before leaving voluntarily, Araik Harutyunyan also made it very clear about it: my stay is pointless because I don't see any solution anymore.
Both Nikol Pashinyan and the high-ranking officials of Artsakh are well aware of this. It is ironic that Dashnaktsutyun carried out a coup in Artsakh and handed over the country. It was Arayik who made the proposal to give the position of NA President to ARF Bureau member Harutyunyan, a few weeks before the disaster.
Araik Harutyunyan asked for a long time, then other high-ranking figures of Artsakh joined this request.
Among the 33 MPs of Artsakh, HY Dashnaktsutyun has 3 MPs and could not make a coup d'état and elect Davit Ishkhanyan as the Speaker of the National Assembly.
In the conditions of anarchy created after the departure of Araik Harutyunyan, some persons without status, such as Samvel Babayan and others, took advantage of the created difficult situation and appeared in the arena, conducting separate negotiations with the enemy.
Realizing all the risks and dangers, understanding that all of this can be a trap, the HY Dashnaktsutyun assumed the position of NA Speaker, placing the mission of being useful to Artsakh on the eve of the disaster above political dividends.
Before the Artsakh presidential elections, Azerbaijan intensified threats, a session of the Artsakh Security Council was held, Nikol Pashinyan was regularly informed about the situation, who was aware of everything. The situation took into account the fact that if Azerbaijan decided to attack, so either way it will be attacked, and it was decided to elect a president to organize the life of the state and, most importantly, to show resistance.
As a result, in order to eliminate the created anarchy and prevent the threats to Artsakh, the National Assembly of Artsakh elected non-partisan Samvel Shahramanyan. The latter, realizing the seriousness of the moment, came under this responsibility. During the days of the disaster, Azerbaijan demanded that the document on the dissolution of the Artsakh Republic be accepted by the National Assembly of Artsakh , which was not accepted by the leadership of Artsakh.
Nikol Pashinyan, in accordance with the agreement with Erdogan and Aliyev, announced in the days of the disaster that he would not interfere in any way with the genocide taking place in Artsakh and was only busy controlling the emigrants in Goris so that they would not turn against him about, but also worked on it by presenting proposals.
Moreover, the document was sent to Yerevan several times and sent back to Stepanakert, and most of the MPs of the Artsakh Parliament know about this, as well as individual various officials, who, unfortunately, do not talk about it.
