"Hraparak" daily writes:
After Srbuhi Galyan's appointment as a minister, as is known, a large-scale scandal has begun in the Ministry of Justice: former minister Grigor Minasyan's personnel are being fired one by one, and Mrs. Galyan's own staff are being appointed.
Yesterday, the minister introduced the newly appointed head of the Enforcement Service, Siro Amirkhanyan, to the leadership of the central body of the Enforcement Service, Yerevan city and regional divisions.
Until now, Amirkhanyan held the position of head of the Department of Confiscation of Illegally Originated Property of the General Prosecutor's Office, that is, he was subordinate to Galyan.
The former head of the Democratic Party of Armenia, Arsen Mnatsakanyan, was dismissed from his position in 2024. on December 5. According to our information, he refused the minister's invitation and was not present at the "handover-acceptance" ceremony of the new chief.
By the way, this is a long-standing tradition when the outgoing leader, no matter how unhappy he is with the dismissal, is present at the presentation of the new one.
Mnatsakanyan gave the reason that he was not in the city, but we learned from his entourage that he had no desire.
We asked Tsovinar Khachatryan, the spokesperson of the Minister of Justice, why the former chief was not present at the ceremony.
"The former chief was invited, but he said that he was away from the city," said the speaker.
