France should take part in any peace negotiations in Ukraine, stated the head of the Republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noel Baro.
In an interview with the RTL radio station, the minister was asked whether France is ready for negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, while US President-elect Donald Trump announced possible negotiations.
"We have always said that if the Ukrainians want, at some point Russia can be involved in the negotiations, we have no taboos on this matter.
It is important that France participates in any negotiations regarding European security. What is happening in Ukraine today concerns the territorial integrity of this country, but the direct security interests of Europe are also affected," the minister answered.
