"Zhoghovurd" daily writes:
"Zhoghovurd" daily learned that the European Court of Human Rights received the application of Anna Danibekyan, the judge who examined Robert Kocharyan's case and was dismissed.
We were also informed that the former judge received a letter that the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) will examine the case of Danibekyan, whose powers have been suspended, as a matter of priority.
As it is known, the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Armenia terminated the powers of the judge of the General Jurisdiction Court of Yerevan, Anna Danibekyan, on the basis of a significant disciplinary violation.
Without hiding his real goals, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan announced that Danibekyan is being removed because of the "most important" court case of our time, because, in their opinion, he deliberately delayed the trial in the case of Robert Kocharyan and Silva Hambardzumyan until the statute of limitations expires.
According to Grigor Minasyan, the former Minister of Justice, Danibekyan violated the judge's rules of conduct with gross negligence, as a result of which the defendants, including Robert Kocharyan, were released from responsibility on the basis of the expiration of the statute of limitations for the crime.
"The SC considered it necessary to emphasize that the case of Robert Kocharyan, which was long delayed and dismissed on the basis of the expiration of the statute of limitations, was of exceptional importance both in terms of the status of the circle of persons involved in the proceedings, as well as the criminal-legal nature and degree of gravity of the acts they are accused of.
Therefore, Judge Danibekyan was obliged to realize that he was administering justice in one of the most important cases in the history of judicial practice of the Republic of Armenia, and he should have effectively organized and administered justice within a reasonable time," the SC decision said.
Let us inform you that the trial lasted 4 years and 4 months."
