Georgia will not retaliate against Lithuania and Estonia

Tbilisi will not apply retaliatory sanctions against Vilnius and Tallinn, despite the fact that it has the right to do so. This is stated in the statement of the Government of Georgia.

"The Georgian authorities have the right and the opportunity to counter the anti-Georgian decisions of the governments of Lithuania and Estonia with retaliatory steps.

However, based on the attitude towards the Lithuanian and Estonian people, we do not consider it appropriate to take such steps. It is our decision to remain in the regime of one-sided friendship with the two states, so that we do not create a threat to the traditional friendship of the Georgian, Estonian and Lithuanian peoples," the statement reads.
