The opening of the Zangezuri Corridor is an important condition for the establishment of peace, Fuat Oktay, Chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Turkish Parliament, said in Baku."Freedom".
"That corridor is a way of peace, prosperity and development for the countries of the region: Azerbaijan and Armenia, including Iran, Turkey and Russia. At the same time, it is important for ensuring stable peace in the region.
We hope that Armenia will not listen to the false news coming from third parties and will implement the peace and development plan," said the high-ranking representative of the ruling power of Turkey, according to the Azerbaijani APA agency, adding:
- "The works on the Zangezur corridor have been completed by the Azerbaijani side, there are still works on the borders of Armenia that need to be completed. We hope that it will be implemented in the near future."
Oktay also stated that Ankara supports and joins Baku's demand to change the Constitution of Armenia.
"We are ready to regulate relations with Armenia, but we do it together with Azerbaijan."
