In Russia, journalist Nevzorov was fined for unsubmitted reports of a foreign agent


The Primorye Court of St. Petersburg fined journalist Alexander Nevzorov (a recognized foreign agent in the Russian Federation) with 40,000 rubles for not submitting a report on his activities to the Ministry of Justice. "The Primorye Court of St. Petersburg brought Alexander Nevzorov to administrative responsibility for committing an offense provided for by Article 19.34, Part 2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (violation of the order of activity of a foreign agent). The court imposed a punishment in the form of a fine of 40,000 rubles," the report said. The press service noted that Nevzorov had to submit a report to the Ministry of Justice in three ways within the time limit set by the law, which he did not do. In addition, in the Oktyabrsk court of Petersburg, the trial continues in the case of recognizing Nevzorov and his wife Lydia as an extremist group, banning their activities in Russia and including the property of the spouses in the state income, which they use, according to the prosecutor's version, for extremist purposes. The next consideration of the case is scheduled for July 2, the case is closed with the petition of the prosecutor's office as an administrative plaintiff.
