A criminal report was filed against Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan


The initiative group formed in the lawyers' club of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia submitted a report on the crime against the Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan to the General Prosecutor's Office, the Chamber of Advocates informs.

"Today, on December 4, 2024, the lawyers of the initiative group of lawyers formed in the lawyers' club of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia submitted a crime report to the General Prosecutor's Office, which refers to the actions involving corruption risks committed by the Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan.

The lawyers submitted a number of arguments to the Prosecutor General with the request to initiate criminal proceedings based on the mentioned facts and give them a proper criminal legal evaluation.

Let's remind that the lawyers specifically spoke about the following actions of Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan:

1. Vahe Hovhannisyan in 2021. reported that he received an interest-free loan of USD 1,000,000.

2. Vahe Hovhannisyan bought 100% shares of "Caritas Italiana" PB company for USD 1,050,000, and later reorganized that organization into "JI Koder" SP company, sold his shares to a relative.

3. RA Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan leased his guest house to "Vardeni" SP company, which was paid more than one million drams without a tender for the purpose of organizing and holding games and exercises for the employees of the Ministry of Finance.

Moreover, the mentioned company was founded in 2019 by Vahe Hovhannisyan himself, which was later transferred to his friend.

4. There are significant discrepancies in the declaration submitted for three years.

In particular, in 2023 stated in the declaration that in 2006 He allegedly sold the Toyota vehicle for AMD 25,000,000.
