Georgia severed diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation on September 3, 2008, after Moscow recognized South Ossetia and Abkhazia. TV channel sources confirmed that the governments of both countries are actively working on the issue, and the selection of Georgian embassy staff in Moscow has already begun.
