His Holiness Aram I is following the events taking place in Aleppo, the press service of the Catholicosate informs.
"Today throughout the day, H.S.O.T.T. Aram A. His Holiness continued to closely monitor the worrying situation created as a result of the attacks of armed groups in Aleppo.
His Holiness, being in permanent contact with the presbyter and community leaders, expressed his high appreciation to them for closely monitoring the well-being of the Armenian community with the highest degree of responsibility.
It should be noted that armed conflicts are generally far from Armenian districts.
Individuals representing the armed opposition, visiting the apartments and centers belonging to the Armenian and Christian communities, expressed that they are ready to provide the necessary assistance in the provision of daily household needs or to become useful in case of any difficulty.
It should also be noted that the reverend priest and the representatives of the Armenian community, both in Aleppo and Kessap, have ordered the children of our people to stay at home and establish contact with the national leadership or community centers as soon as necessary."
