57 years ago on this day, on November 29, 1967, the memorial to the victims of the Armenian Genocide was opened with a solemn ceremony on the top of Tsitsernakaberd.
Since 1968, every year on April 24, hundreds of thousands of people visit the Armenian Genocide Memorial to pay their respects to the memory of the innocent victims.
Several hundred thousand people visit the memorial during the year, including representatives of the Armenian diaspora, as well as official delegations from different countries of the world.
