Most recently, FFA Vice President Armen Nikoghosyan announced that the legendary Spanish football player Raul can become the new coach of the Armenian national team. This news, for obvious reasons, caused a real stir in Armenia and beyond.
Standing close to FFAof MediaHubthe source, however, claims that Raul will definitely not be appointed to that position, although, understandably, the management wants it very much.
"Firstly, because of the magnitude of the issue, and secondly, recently the FFA has been targeted so much that they want to kill two birds with one stone and restore their reputation," said our source.
As for potential candidates for the coach, our interlocutor mentioned that there are several names circulating at this stage, but there is no final decision.
"I think the FFA should present a new coach by the end of January, so that the team has time to prepare for the March games. This is a reasonable period, and we hope that they will fit in."
To remind, on October 13, after the match between Armenia and North Macedonia, FFA announced that Alexander Petrakov will no longer lead our national team.
