Zelensky deprived a number of celebrities of state awards and titles

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stripped public awards and titles from celebrities who live and speak in Russia while supporting the war

He signed the corresponding decree, enforcing the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

The list included not only artists, but also former officials, people's deputies, heads of the Security Service and the General Prosecutor's Office, as well as religious and cultural figures.

Among the famous people who were deprived of the honorary title "People's Artist of Ukraine" are Nikolay Baskov, Philip Kirkorov, Alexander Malinin, Igor Krutoy.

Ani Lorak and Taisya Povaly were deprived of the title of "Honored Artist of Ukraine".

In addition, Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church was also included in the list of sanctions. According to Zelensky's decree, Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church was deprived of the 1st degree order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise.

Former People's Deputy of Ukraine Viktor Medvedchuk, former Prime Minister Nikolay Azarov, former Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka and other persons were deprived of state awards.
