"Hraparak" newspaper writes:
"After the appointment of Davit Khudatyan as the minister of TCE, the candidacy of Deputy Governor Argishti Mekhakyan is being considered for the vacant post of Armavir Marz Governor, who was a member of the "Im Ch'i" party during the war and resigned his mandate after the war.
"What happened to Artsakh, I consider first of all my personal and family tragedy.
Like every Armenian, I also cannot come to terms with this reality," he stated.
But it turned out that he quickly came to terms with that "reality" and weeks later he was appointed deputy governor. He is the son of freedom fighter Mekhak Mekhakyan, in whose honor Jabrayil region of Artsakh was named Mekhakavan.
