The Amali River starts from the glacier and joins the Terek. it flows near the "Daryal" checkpoint on the Georgian side, and near "Verin Lars" on the Russian side. The employees of the "Daryal" checkpoint, as well as patrol and border police, customs service and private companies were evacuated to a safe place.
