Employees of the "Daryal" checkpoint on the border between Georgia and Russia were evacuated due to the rising water level in the valley of the Devdorak glacier. "Armenpress" learns about this from the TASS agency. It is noted that, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, at 08:36 local time, the devices recorded a change in the water level in the valley of the Devdorak glacier, which is located on the slope of Kazbek. The Amali River starts from the glacier and joins the Terek. it flows near the "Daryal" checkpoint on the Georgian side, and near "Verin Lars" on the Russian side. The employees of the "Daryal" checkpoint, as well as patrol and border police, customs service and private companies were evacuated to a safe place. The border guard of Georgia went to the scene. the police helicopter with employees of the National Environmental Protection Agency, as well as geologists. It is reported that the traffic of automobiles was closed in both directions near the village of Gveleti, which is located 3 km south of the checkpoint.
