Azerbaijan will not participate in the 37th World Military Wrestling Championship to be held on November 20-24 at the Karen Demirchyan Sports Concert Complex in Yerevan.

Colonel Arman Davtyan, head of the physical training and sports service of the Armed Forces of the RA Ministry of Defense, announced this during a press conference.

He noted that the invitations to the events of the International Council of Military Sports are not sent by the organizing country, but by the Council, and no country can be uninvited.

"The Azerbaijani national team did not submit an application and did not arrive in Armenia," said Davtyan.
