One hundred thousand DPRK military personnel in Russia does not mean a one-time transfer, but a total number taking into account rotation, writes Bloomberg.
North Korea could send up to 100,000 troops to Russia to take part in the war against Ukraine if the alliance between Pyongyang and Moscow strengthens. Bloomberg reported this on Sunday, November 17, citing interlocutors familiar with preliminary assessments of a number of Group of Twenty (G20) countries.
The DPRK will not necessarily take such a step, the agency’s interlocutors explained. In addition, military support on such a scale will not mean a one-time transfer of a hundred thousand troops, but the total number of North Korean forces in the Russian Federation, taking into account their rotation, Bloomberg sources indicated.
