3 football players of "Urartu" football club will continue cooperation with the Yerevan club, according to "Armenpress", the press service of "Urartu" football club reports this. Goalkeeper Alexander Melikhov, midfielder Oleg Polyakov and forward Leon Sabua have extended their contracts with "Urartu" football club for one year. The current contracts of the players had already expired. Oleg Polyakov joined Urartu in 2020 and took part in 121 official matches, being considered the most capped legionnaire in the club's history, while Alexander Melikhov and Leon Sabua joined the club ahead of the 2022/23 season, playing respectively 58 and 43 matches. In the 2022/23 season, the football players together with "Urartu" became the champion and cup winner of Armenia.
