In the case of former Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan, the Court of Cassation accepted the complaint of the lawyers.

"I would like to inform you that the Court of Cassation accepted the cassation appeals of special review of myself and defense attorneys Lusine Sahakyan and Yervand Varosyan in the case regarding Davit Tonoyan.
Among other things, in the cassation appeal I submitted, I raised the decision of the Court of Cassation 2024 on the uniform application of Article 483, Part 7 of the Criminal Procedure Code and the legality of arrest. the issues regarding not referring to the legality of the arrest made before that," he wrote.
To remind, on September 30, 2021, the National Security Service announced that Davit Tonoyan and Davit Galstyan, who is engaged in the supply of weapons, were arrested on suspicion of committing particularly large-scale robbery. On the same day, Tonoyan and Galstyan were arrested.
In this case, charges were also brought against the former head of the General Directorate Artak Davtyan, the former deputy head of the General Directorate Stepan Galstyan, the head of the aviation technical property service of the Aviation Department of the RA Ministry of Defense Artyom Hambaryan and the chief engineer of the aviation department Vladimir Babayan.
Stepan Galstyan was released in December 2023 on bail of 25 million drams.
