Armenia's weightlifting teams have started training sessions in preparation for the December World Championship in Bahrain, reports armsport.am.
The men's team, led by Pashik Alaverdyan, conducts its training camp in Yerevan, in Olimpavan, and the members of the women's team, led by Artashes Nersisyan, train in Gyumri.

According to the International Weightlifting Federation, the preliminary list of the Armenian men's team included Garnik Cholakyan (61 kg), Gor Sahakyan (73 kg), Andranik Karapetyan (89 kg), Davit Hovhannisyan, Hakob Mkrtchyan (both 96 kg), Ara Aghanyan (102 kg). ), Garik Karapetyan, Petros Petrosyan (both 109 kg), Varazdat Lalayan and Simon Martirosyan (both +109 kg).
Alexandra Grigoryan (55 kg), Liana Gyurjian and Tatev Hakobyan (both 87 kg) will be included in the women's team.
