Who will not participate in the ongoing COP29 in Baku?


As we have already reported, the 29th session of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) has started in Baku. This year, 40,000 people will participate in the COP29 summit, while last year's summit in Dubai was attended by a total of 83,884.

So far, it is known that the Prime Ministers of Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, India and the Republic of South Africa, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the President of France Emmanuel Macron, the Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz, the President of the United States Joe Biden, the King of Great Britain Charles 3 will not participate in the COP29 conference. 1st, Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, Russian Federation and Chinese Presidents Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping.

It should be noted that the President of the Council of the European Union Charles Michel and the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko have already arrived in Baku to participate in COP29. Earlier it became known that Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will participate in the forum.
