Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad al-Sudani had a telephone conversation with the newly elected US President Donald Trump on Saturday. This is reportedINA:agency, referring to the Prime Minister's press service.
During the telephone conversation, al-Sudani congratulated Trump on his victory in the elections. In addition, the politicians reaffirmed their commitment to developing the strategic partnership between the two countries and strengthening bilateral relations through close cooperation in the economic, financial, energy and technological fields.
The Prime Minister of Iraq also told Trump that he hopes that his pre-election promise to stop the wars in the region will be fulfilled and offered to cooperate in this matter.
