Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to have a dialogue with the newly elected US President Donald Trump, said Dmitry Peskov, the press spokesman of the Russian President.
"During the election campaign, Mr. Trump announced that he wanted to call Putin personally, so the Russian president is ready for that conversation, and yesterday he personally addressed the possible dialogue," the Kremlin representative told reporters.
To remind, during the discussion at the "Valdai" international club, Putin congratulated Trump on his election as the US president and noted that the Russian side "does not see anything shameful" in making a personal phone call to the newly elected US president. Trump later said on NBC that he has not yet spoken to Putin after his victory in the elections, but he does not rule out that he will.
