The foreign ministers of the UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt issued a joint statement condemning Israel's refusal to accept the 15-point document proposed by US President Donald Trump's Peace Council, reports Al Jazeera.
According to them, Israel's position actually means abandoning the "Comprehensive Plan", endangering its implementation and undermining international efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace.
The ministers stated that Israel is now responsible for obstructing efforts to establish peace in Gaza and other occupied Palestinian territories.
The statement noted that the proposed roadmap was accepted by Palestinian factions and was the result of long-term efforts by mediators.
The plan envisages the simultaneous disarmament of armed formations and the withdrawal of Israeli troops, the deployment of International Stabilization Forces, the transfer of the management of Gaza to the National Committee for the Management of the sector and the start of its reconstruction.
