The number of victims of the powerful earthquake in Colombia reached 265, 3494 people were injured, and 496 were missing, President Abelardo de la Espriela said. The Association of Capital Cities of Colombia previously reported 241 dead, 1,762 injured and 279 missing as a result of the earthquake.
"We have 25,872 affected families, 53,816 people.
Unfortunately, 265 people died, 3,494 were injured, and the number of missing has alarmingly increased to 496. Our main efforts are focused on the missing," de la Espriela said in a statement broadcast on Caracol TV.
