Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Tehran to hold talks with Iranian officials, Mehr reports.
As reported by the Iranian media, referring to diplomatic sources, Naqvi left Islamabad for the capital of Iran on Tuesday morning. During the visit, it is planned to discuss bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.
The visit took place a month after Iran's Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni's visit to Islamabad, where he held talks with his Pakistani counterpart.
In June, Pakistan and Qatar played a key role in brokering a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States aimed at ending the latest conflict.
However, Tehran declares that Washington violated the agreements, which led to Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz twice.
The Iranian side announced that it is ready to open the strait after the USA stops violations and compensates for the damage caused as a result of these violations.
