The Australian drone operator, supposedly, for the first time filmed the entire process of giving birth to a sperm whale in a natural environment, Live Science wrote.
The unique footage was captured off the northern coast of New South Wales while tracking whale migration.
Australian Cetacean Rescue and Research Organization (ORRCA) drone operator Alexander Forrest spotted the female moving significantly slower than her group. Soon she gave birth to the cub.
The video shows the baby whale coming to the surface for the first time to breathe, and the mother turning around and coming back to him. The filming took place about 700 meters from the coast, in the area of Kingscliff.
